I bought this kit to cut granite tile for a bathroom counter top. The diamond saw worked great for cutting the opening for my drop in sink. I found the jigsaw handle attachment worked great for cutting the hole in the plywood top. I like the fact it doesn't have any vibration as a regular sabre saw would have which could loosen up the tile. I also did sheet rock cutouts for the outlets and light fixture. Bosch did a great job of improving the Rotozip product. The kit is extensive and a pretty nice tool bag too. I plan to buy other attachments for this kit. I'm extremely pleased with a real world test for my bathroom. I gave away my old, very used rotozip and love this kit! A+++!
Yup I finally broke down and upgraded...you should too...

So I used to have a dremel kit that for the last 3 years I have been beating on but it held up pretty well and did what I needed. To upgrad I needed variable speed, led light is a plus, and the circle cutter is a given. I use this tool mostly for cuting out sheet rock openings for electrical ie: boxes, can lighting, ect..and it does that job just perfect as it should. The surprise is in the way it handles the harder tasks of cutting out the same holes in 3/4 pine for ceiling cans, or a 4inch hole for a bath vent or dryer vent...right through the siding, plywood, and sheetrock. I just pilot hole to get an inner and outer center and away she goes. This unit is just the right size, power and versatility. Heck I use the thing for sink cut outs in the counter and even used the metal cutting wheel for cutting drop ceiling grids. Uses are endless...a great shop, home, even road tool. (I used it with a small inverter running of my trucks 12v power to cut off an muffler that decided to hang up on a stump the other day) Yup she is that handy.

I had my 1st chance to use the saw yesterday. I was working on a job that normally required a wood chisel. The RotZip was a great time-saver. It cut through the wood with ease. I would definetly recommend the model with the light. The only negative is that the saw is produces a loud screeching noise at times. Hearing protection might be a good idea for large jobs. This tool is a very helpful addition for woodworkers.

I used my new rotozip today for the first time... WOW! I read the previous reviews and learned that you must, must use the proper bit for each application. I went from drywall cutting to plywood cutting (1/2 inch) with the multpurpose bit quickly and easily. I did change to the jigsaw handle attachment for the plywood as I was cutting gable vents in outside walls; what a useful tool that was!

I recently started the project of building a deck. I have been wanting a spiral saw for a while and I came across this kit. First of all the saw is very high quality. The zipmate attachment, the bag, and the jigsaw handle are also very high quality. The circle cutter attachment could be built a little heavier, but it will get the job done. You get a nice assortment of bits and wheels in this kit. They even include a bit holder. It took me a few minutes to get used to the saw, but after I got the hang of it I love it. The keyless chuck is a nice feature. You can change bits without a tool. I always hated that about a dremel tool. The variable spped is a bit of a marketing ploy. Most materials need to be cut at high speed, but it does have variable speed control. Bottomline, if you have a need for a spiral saw you can't go wrong with this kit.
A really handy tool

I just installed heavy plastic polystyrene tub surround panels in a bathroom re-do project and I had to trim the panels and make faucet hole cutouts---the Rotozip zipped thru this stuff like a hot knife thru butter--also had to grind away the base of a heavy metal door frame for floor panel installation---the tool paid for itself in one project!!

Out of the box, the chuck was frozen solid (minus one star). Returned the tool. Their instructions specifically say to call them, do not return it to the vendor. I'm supposed to halt a project while they fix their problem? The replacement worked like the original should have. Subtract another star because I'm not sure this product is worth twice the price of the DeWalt DW660SK kit. But once I had a functioning unit, it works like it is supposed to.

The RZ20-4000 has widened my horizons in the fields of woodwork.
br /It has made my saber saw obsolete and allowed me to boldly go where I have never thought possible. I can now make realistic dachshund silohettes. The unit is vibration free and cuts to the high degree of accuracy needed for fine woodworking. The diamond saw attachment is unique and useful for those hard to get to spots.

This tool is much better than a Dremel . It has more power and more versatility and if you buy the RotoZip FS2 Flex Shaft Attachment you get pen like precision. This tool becomes a Dremel on steroids.

br /The jig saw handle provides you with a jigsaw that glides over your work cutting angles with depth precision that are only possible with a spiral saw and providing you with the firm platform of a jigsaw. The Sanding and cutting disk head attachment are equally useful and well made.

This is truly an amazing and useful tool. I've been curious ever since I saw my drywall sub use one. I had no idea it could do all the things it can do. I immediately ran out and bought a full compliment of accessories and have been excercising the remarkable versatility of this tool ever since. I think that this is my best purchase since my little Makita cordless impact tool.

I bought this tool last weekend for a bathroom project. I used it about 4-5 times to cut some drywall. When I went to change out the extension, I found that my keyless chuck is stuck. It will not open up no matter what I do. I will be returning this over the weekend.
