The saw is awesome.

br /The shipping, on the other hand, was terrible. The first one I was sent had been tipped over, despite a giant red arrow and DO NOT TIP sign on the crate, and the motor housing was crushed in. The second one showed up sideways on a pallet, despite a giant red arrow and DO NOT TIP sign on the crate, and gear oil had leaked out all over the place.

We received the saw in an orderly time, but the shipping left something to be desired. There were some parts that needed to be replaced but when we did receive them the saw worked it was great.

The saw arrived in perfect shape so delivery was not a problem. The only one problem was the inner belt guard holes did not line up and required a little work with a round file to lengthen a slot. Everything else is top notch quality as always from JET.

Shipping was fast but like all of the other reviews it had been tipped on its side with little damage(nothing I could not get at hardware store)just a knob that holds blade guard closed.

I used this in my machine shop to cut thousands of parts for machining. It cuts my stainless steel and aluminum good enough for me. I would like the 1 inch blade bandsaw but the next step up is a huge difference in cost. I have recommended it to other new shops and they agree that this is a good buy!!! some adjustment form time to time and it will cut straight and consistantly. It's not that conveinient to switch to vertical but works well in both positions. Its best in horizontal. It can be a bit messy with the coolant but over all a good buy.
