Description:
For the tool hound, this is nothing short of happiness in a big box. The pair of 18-volt lithium-ion batteries power each of these gorgeous tools: hammer drill/driver, impact driver, circular saw, recip saw, and angle grinder/cutoff saw, as well as an impressive work light. The 1/2-inch hammer drill/driver puts 560 inch-pounds of torque in your hands, but it's incredibly lightweight and compact. It's got three speeds for great efficiency no matter what you're drilling or driving into, and we like the one-touch switch to move from hammer drill to driver mode as well as the LED to illuminate what you're doing. The impact driver, weighing in at a mere 3.3 pounds, delivers an unbelievable 1,280 inch-pounds of efficient torque, and the circular saw has a high-torque motor for surprising power. Capacity's good, too, cutting 2-by stock at 45 degrees. Two built-in LEDs light your work target, and we particularly liked the integrated blower that keeps your line of sight and your stock clean. We like this recip saw for its compact size, 2,900 strokes per minute and its one-handed blade changes and shoe adjustments. Like most of the other tools in this combo kit, it has LEDs for a clear view of your workpiece. The flashlight will come in handy in so many ways because it's so flexible, with four positions for just about any angle. The charger will juice up a spent battery in just about 45 minutes, and everything fits neatly into the cool Makita cargo bag. The price might be a little intimidating, but this is a great collection of tools that, bought individually, would cost a whole lot more. Definitely worth the investment. --Kris Jensen-Van HesteGet more product details from Amazon

I bought this set about a year ago and have been working every single one of the tools quite hard so I feel comfortable giving a more in depth review of how these tools have performed. I have used almost every other 18v kit out there. The last 18v kit I had was a Dewalt XRP before going with Makita LXT tools and that's what I'll mainly compare it to.
br /
br /The impact driver is pure perfection. It is the reference for impact driver design everyone else should follow. Functionally I've never seen an impact driver that performs bad, they are simple tools that just do their job well. Where the Makita stands out is in its ultra light weight and super compact design and balance. At 3.3lbs and 5 3/4" long you'll have a hard time going to other chunky impact drivers again. I think its almost impossible to drain the batteries on the impact driver. Your arm will probably fall of from fatigue first.
br /
br /The drill is one of the better 18v drills out there and has many advantages but also some rather notable drawbacks. The battery life is outstanding. Its really light and superbly balanced. With lots of torque. The problem with the drill is the very high torque gears are too slow. Its rated at 560in-lbs but it does so at 300rpm. Its kind of misleading because even the crappiest drill can do 560 in-lbs if you gear it slow enough. It will work REALLY slow if you need to move large stuff like hole saws. For reference the Dewalt DC925 will do about the same torque at 450rpm. The middle gear is also a rather useless 600rpm. Not enough torque to really move large bits but also not fast enough to be of any real use other than maybe driving some screws. The hammerdrill function is the drills biggest weakness. It will not go into anything much harder than block or brick. Forget poured concrete. Or really old and very well cured concrete of any kind. In contrast my Dewalt DC925 will blow it out of the water in overall performance and especially in concrete drilling.
br /
br /The circular saw is very handy. Its comparable to most 18v circular saws. That means don't expect it to replace your corded saw but it will cut through full 2X lumber quite well and fast. Just make sure the blade doesn't pinch or it will bind. It brings one of the better cutting 24t ultra thin kerf blades I've tried. Leaves surprisingly clean cuts compared to other cordless 6 1/2" blades which tear out something awful. The saw is ultra light and compact which makes it extremely handy to use as a trimsaw or for one handed operation. I always keep it around handy to make quick cuts. The LED light is particularly useful in this saw. Battery life is also very respectable.
br /
br /The reciprocating saw is a piece of junk. Sorry but the saw just has no redeeming qualities. NONE. There is unfortunately no other way to describe it. Its large, heavy and underpowered. For reference, its taller and longer, and weighs the same as Dewalts 36v saw! Whatever happened to lightness and compactness on these tools? To make matters worse, it is seriously underpowered. It binds quite easily and you can feel it really bog down doing something as simple as cutting pressure treated 2X4. Battery life is also extremely poor. I found it to be the same or worse than the average NiCD saw. Ergonomically its a poor design with a thick and squarish throat which is unconfortable to hold. The old Dewalt 385 it replaced was a superior saw in every respect. It had serious power and better size and battery life. The blade release of the LXT saw is pretty nifty in the it spits out the blade but can be hard to reach if its not fully extended. You might need to cycle the saw a couple of times to get the release know far out enough. The double finger trigger I found to be a poorly thought out idea. Two finger triggers are just not necessary on reciprocating saws. Its hard to carry the saw on the handle without having it go off. Got to keep your mind on setting the safety on or carry it only with the two bottom fingers which is uncomfortable.
br /
br /The angle grinder. I kept my expectations realistic on this tool. An 18v grinder, like the circular saw, is not quite a replacement for the corded tool. It binds and stops easily. Thats not necessarily a huge problem. An 18v tool of this kind will never be able to do much better. It has a simple ingenious system that warns you when the tool is about to overload and shuts it down if it binds before the motor burns out. That said, if used with some finnese the tool will get the job done quite well and comes in quite handy. Its very useful for cutting tubing, rebar, bolts and the like when you just don't want to lug around a corded gringer.
br /
br /The flashlite, is well, a flashlight. Its bright and its handy. What else can I say.
br /
br /The bottom line is this is a well designed group but makes some sacrifices to achieve its lightness and compactness. It comes at the expense of performance and power. The heavy duty 18v groups from other brands, while heavier, and possibly not as much runtime will usually ouperform the LXT tools in raw power. If I had to do it again, other than the impact driver and perhaps the circular saw, I would have held on to the Dewalt 18v XRP toolset which is overall a substantially superior performer. The LXT battery life, while better on some tools (and not very good on some) is not THAT much better. Maybe 20% and at most 30% better than NiCD.

I, too, have been a DeWalt user for many years, having moved to their brand when I felt the Makita line went substandard. After deciding to move up to an 18 volt product, I spent months conducting research, going to wood shows, and actually trying out numerous lithium ion and non-litium ion 18 volt tools. My final choice was this kit. Here are some of the reasons why:
br /
br /Batteries: 18 volt lithium ion. Fantastic idea to go with lithium ion. The charge lasts longer and will not dissipate over time. In addition, the battery design (outer housing) is smart. I do not need to click two buttons on the side to disengage the battery from any of the tools. I simply need to click the one button on the front of the battery and the battery slides out. Because my hands are small, this makes all the difference in the world.
br /
br /Drill Driver - For my hands, this was the most ergonomically correct grip I found. This drill feels great, does not fatigue my hands after many hours of use, and does not weigh as much as the competition. The 18 volt battery does not add as much weight as I thought it would, and the tool balances in my hand perfectly. In addition, I didn't think I would like having LED's built into the drill, but I really do like the additional light when I am working. Excellent drill all around.
br /
br /Recip Saw - Again, excellent feel and power. I have used this saw to cut through a variety of materials without any lag. The one button saw change also adds a nice touch. Grip and balance are excellent, with the battery adding the perfect amount of counterweight to the entire setup.
br /
br /As I mentioned earlier, I looked at all of the kits available. For the price and the product you receive, I don't think you could find a better value for your money than this kit.

Been using this 6-piece set for over 2 months now and all I can say it rocks! Love the little worklight each tool has. I thought it was hokey at first but it's very useful in those dark areas of your workplace. I installed a hood and blower in this one cabinet yesterday and it would of been very difficult without the built-in light on the tools.
br / The lithium power is excellent, it will cover most demanding jobs you throw at it. Charger does good job getting your spare battery back up to peak. The Makita circular saw is great also. I've been trimming many jobs recently and comes in handy for cutting cabinets, jambs, doors, etc.
br / If you are trim carpenter like myself you will use every tool in this set including the cutoff/grinder tool. Recent job of mine the millwork had sent out prehung doors with the screws too long through the hinges, had to be cut off in order to set the door in the opening. The cutoff tool worked effortlessly in this situation.
br / Last but not least the most important tool I use in this set is the impact wrench. Very compact, super power with less effort from the user...my most used tool. Great job Makita.

As an avid woodworker and a weekend warrior around the house my tools tend to get used quite a bit. Not as much as a tradesman, but more than your average person. I was quite concerned with the quality of these tools and spent a good deal of time researching and reading reviews like this one to see what other people thought. Ultimately I'm glad I decided to go ahead and order the tool set.
br /
br /One fear I had was since it is a set that one or two of the tools in the set would be sub-standard to keep the costs down. I've experienced this with Dewalt cordless sets and didn't want a repeat performance. With the Makita set all the tools in the bag are the same ones you purchase individually, the costs are controlled through fewer batteries. The complete set comes with 2 batteries while the individual tools come with 2 each. At well over $100 each, this is a considerable difference. I would like to have more batteries but have not run into an actual need to have more. These batteries charge fairly quickly (30 minutes or so in optimal conditions)and last a long time. If you don't have any cordless tools or are looking to get a new set, this is definitely worth considering.
br /
br /Drill and Impact Driver:
br /Top notch. I've used both of them extensively and have been very happy with their power and feel. The trigger is responsive (a little touchy actually) and the 3 speed gear box help set the right speed for any application. The lithium-ion batteries really do last a long time - considerably longer than the 18v Dewalt I own and even longer than the new Festool C12 NiMh 3Ah drill I own. the learning curve with the Lithium batteries is not to let them drain too much before re-charging. With these, at the first sign of power drop off you need to stick them on the charger or risk damaging the battery.
br /
br /
br /Reciprocating saw, grinder and trim saw
br /They round off a good tool collection. I've seen much heavier duty re-saws, grinders and trim saws, but unless you're doing heavy demolition and construction work on a regular basis these should be more than enough. They have the advantage of being lighter and easier to handle than their more robust brethren which I do appreciate. So far I have not had any issues with them having sufficient power to do what I ask of them.

I have had several cordless sets over the years Black and Decker Firestorm, DeWalt and Ridgid. This by far came off with the most wow factor I have had. I have had the set for a couple of months now and have had a chance to use each tool in a project.
br /
br /Drill - Never wants for power. Good battery life. Durable (survived a bad drop without damage). Lighter than most 18 volts I have used. And for extras: The LED lights that illuminate what you are working on are a feature that I could not go without now. When working above a drop ceiling just give the trigger a little pull and you have a built in flashlight. The little metal clip at the base to hang the tool on also great. I can't count how many drills I have dropped off of a ladder because there was no place to put it. The only con I can come up with and it is a minor one is the clip to hold and extra bit is a little lose and the bit can fall out.
br /
br /Impact Driver, also works great. Can take off lug nuts, drive lags and remove lawnmower blades without issue. Its also useful as a compact drill in a tight space. The LED and belt clip is great.
br /
br /Circular Saw - Works like a champ. Have used it quite a bit lately and it has not disappointed. Great battery life for a cordless saw. LED is good but not as helpful as the ones on the drill. Came with the saw guide which is a plus not having to order an accessory. Only con is I have had trouble finding 6 1/2" saw blades.
br /
br /Recip Saw - Good saw. Works on par with most of the other cordless recip's I have used. They all seem to be battery hogs but this saw is still good just not better about that the others I have used. Has a nice hook that is handy for hanging the saw off of your tool belt to free up your hands. Cons - did come with any blades, should have at least one, and no blade storage. My DeWalt had a place to store extra blades which was nice on the jobsite.
br /
br /Grinder - Never had a cordless grinder before but this thing is a workhorse. I have cut pipe, screws, bolts and angle iron with it. It just goes and goes. Great battery life for a tool like this. Plus it came with a cutting and grinding wheel.
br /
br /Flashlight - This one seems a little like an afterthought. There is nothing wrong with it but it is just a flashlight with an adjustable head. If Makita really wanted to do something cool then why not have the flashlight be LED based like all of the tool lights. Now that would be cool.
br /
br /Bag - The bag is the best one I have ever gotten with a combo pack. Holsters for most of the tools. Everything fits easily. and it has wheels and a pull out handle which is nice since it is a little heavy fully loaded.
br /
br /Bottom line, great combo pack. Lots of power with some cool features and extras. I would buy it again and I will have my eye out for any additional tools that come out in this line.

These are great tools! I bought this kit because I'd used Makita cordless and liked the drill and sawzall; also, a friend said "get a cordless impact driver!". I used the impact driver immediately to drive 80 1/4" x 3" SDS screws into framing (instead of a huge 1/2" DeWalt): light in the hand and drove 'em in like butter! We switched the battery to the drill and ran a 2 9/16" self-feed bit through four studs. The batteries really are light and have great power. And the circular saw--NICE!
br /These cost a bit, but I love the light batteries and the 3.0 amp-hour charge, and all of the tools are real workhorses.

What an awesome set. I am a general contractor and it's first job was using the impact gun to install 2x8 acq plates from the bottom with 3 1/2" screws, a breeze. then I used the sawzall to cut out all the copper pipes, no cord, pleenty of power. Using the drill, 50 1/4" holes in concrete then all the tapcon screws. The bag is fantastic as well. All the other guys want it and I have to keep my eye on it. So long dewalt.

I used to purchase only Makita products about 10 years ago. Then about 5 yrs ago I switched to DeWalt because I felt they had more forward thinking lineup. Now I've switched back to Makita. These tools by far are the best cordless ones available. I especially appreciate the LED lights on ALL of the tools. They are more powerful, smoother, lighter and substantial feeling than the DeWalts, Ryobi or Porter Cables, all of which I've owned. I'm a professional contractor who uses these daily. I can tell you that you won't be dissappointed you've chosen this set of tools. The only complaints I can give about Makita products are that the owner's manuals aren't well translated. The bag is also very nice.

When I bought this set I knew there were a few tools I would use immediately, but to my suprise I have used all but the grinder so far.the circular saw is fantastic for both in the shop , and on the job cutting. I am a cabinet maker , so I am not using it for repetative cutting, so I can't vouch for it along those lines, but it is light and handy. Of course the impact driver is top notch. Once you use an impact driver, you will never go back to a plain drill driver. The quick blade change on the sawzall is impressive. 1/2 inch drill works well. flashlite is good. Overall the quality is great. My friends in other trades got kick out of the led light on the tools( does come in handy)
Awesome performance, battery life, power - go Makita!

I have had a variety of cordless tools from Makita/Dewalt/Others over the years. I wanted new L-ION batteries and bought this set - I was not disappointed.

I love all the tools, the drill seams to have more than ample power, the grinder works well for light duty grinding, the sawzall is very smooth, the impact is awesome, the skilsaw will cut a full 2" at 90 which impressed me, with great power. I am a contractor and use all the tools on a regular basis and have no complaints yet, the batteries last forever, and the little led lights are nice for dark work areas. I recommend this product to anyone.

I've had Makita products for 15 years and they just keep getting better. This latest set is lighter, more powerful and more versatile. My only complaint is that the chuck on the hammer drill can come loose when drilling cement.

while i was very happy at first with this set i now am experiencing problems. the first major problem is that the high speed range of the hammer drill went out after only 10 months of use.it not only happened to me but also to a person i work with.for the price that we paid for these tools you would expect them to last at least a couple of years i never had a dewalt or milwaukee go out so fast.problem number 2 is that these lithium ion batteries dont seem to want to work in colder temperatures again something not expected for the price you pay.one other gripe is the awkward size of the sawzall.

Light and powerful. I didn't think that I'd make use of the flashlight... but I did. Mounted LED lights nice touch too. If you have anything less than 18volts, this would be a nice upgrade.

Bought this a couple of months ago. The tool set is an amazing value. If you were to buy everything separately, it would cost well over 1000 dollars.
br /
br /The battery has a very long lasting charge. You'll also find the tools to have plenty of power. The impact hammer is so light that you wont mind carrying it at all.
br /
br /The only downer was receiving it from UPS damaged. I dont blame amazon for this. The box was very heavy and UPS is not known for delicate hands.
br /
br /Overall, this package is a winner. Very pleased.

I've had this tool set for just over a year now. I've been a Makita fan for years when I was a contractor, bought this set for personal use. The tools are nice, solid, do what they're supposed to, but, I haven't been real impressed with how long the batteries last. 3 year warranty on tools, but 1 year on batteries and CHARGER. Well, the charger just went TU and Makita won't cover it. Great.
br / My advice for what it's worth. Go to Home Depot and buy a set of Ridgid cordless tools....they're way less expensive and come with a LIFETIME WARRANTY including batteries and charger. Contractor friend just bought a set and says they're as good as any he's ever used. 'Nuff said.

I bought this set (minus grinder) in December of 2005--one of the first sets made, I would assume. I recently thought about giving a hammer drill/driver to a friend I work with, and came here to read of others experience. I was a bit alarmed when I read one review (april 07) sharing that 3rd gear had gone out three times. Of course, having read that, I found my own third gear went out the next week (yes, after two years of daily use). I called Makita USA, and was told the products carry a three year manufacturer's warranty, and to send it to the nearest factory service center. Another brief call, and I had instructions for how and where to ship. I sent it off last Thursday and received it back today, Wednesday. The only charge I incurred was for shipping the drill one way. I told them at the service center of the complaints I had read and was assured that changes have been made. Time will tell, but I just wanted to share my experience with Makita USA, which was two very brief phone calls, and the problem getting fixed in less than a week. I have not had a smoother experience in dealing with any such tool problems in the past 20 years.
br /I love all the tools in this set, except fot the sawzall, which as another reviewer mentioned, is junk. (I got mine as a free extra with the kit I bought, so I guess you get what you pay for). Also, I shortly gave up using the bag, as it is sort of like throwing your tools loose into the back of your truck--everything just jumbles together. The circular saw is a good tool for quick easy cuts where it isn't convenient to use a plug in model. The impact driver has served me well, especially driving trusslock screws into LVL. The drill/driver is the favorite of the bunch, though I use the hammer drill only for an occasional bore into concrete for attaching with screws (it is fast and effortless for this application).
br /After two years, I bought two new batteries, though the originals are still going strong (nice to have four batteries for five tools anyway ... the sawzall serves, at times, as battery storage for the others).
br /I don't doubt other reviewers bad experiences, but mine have been mostly positive. Given the options on the market, I would probably buy this Makita line of tools again.

I upgraded to the Makita Lithium Ion 6 pack when I dropped my DeWalt 14.4 off the roof and it shattered into half a dozen pieces. I chose the Makita brand based on other reviews I had read. The Makita drill fits better in my hands than the DeWalt, it is also lighter and has more power and has a three speed clutch for more versatility.
br /The impact driver is a nice addition to the mix. Great for driving those difficult screws / bolts. Came in handy with some deck repairs. Is even strong enough to take off lug nuts from my truck. (make sure you use impact sockets.)
br /Have used the circular saw only once so far. Flew through 2x4's. Waiting to use the cipro saw. Adding LED's to light what your cutting / drilling is a nice touch.
br /Would have given 5 stars if they offerd the fluorescent light like the LXT402

I've got these tools just about a month now and haven't stopped using them yet. The batteries are awesome, they charge in less than 45 minutes and hold their charge better than any other cordless power tool I have owned (including other Makita tools). I've used them indoors and out with pretty much the same fine results. All the tools have lots of power and the 18 volt batteries afford the tools fantastic power for plenty of torque. And the travel bag they came with is great, I even joked with my Wife that I was taking them on vacation with us. Great tools, I recommend them highly and the buying experience with Amazon was perfect!

I am a framing contractor and had a dewalt 14.4 impact driver that I used for years till I finally killed it. I saw a couple guys with this set and heard about the extended battery life so I bought this set. Only 4 months old and the hammer drill is in for repairs along with a dead battery! For $700 I expect more. I barely even used the hammerdrill. The impact gun is nice and lite with plenty of power, but it goes into the impact chatter a bit too soon for some heavier light gauge framing. Overall i'm not too happy with this set.

I've been using this kit building my house for the last month and a half, and really like it. The batteries charge fast and last a long time for most uses. Used the angle grinder with a diamond cup to take down some high spots on a concrete floor, and that used up batteries relatively quickly, but I probably should've been using a corded grinder, so I can't complain about that. This was my first impact screwgun, and it's a joy to use. Light and short and able to sink big screws with minimal torque on me. Noisy though, so ear protection is recommended when screwing with it. Drill-driver has so much torque you have to really watch out when using a holesaw so you don't end up looking like a pretzel. Either use low speed (of the 3 speeds) or switch over to screw mode and let the clutch slip when the bit bites too hard. I paid about 600 dollars, but have seen it advertised at all kinds of prices, so don't pay too much.

Love these tools. I replaced my busted Dewalt drill with a complete set of rechargeables. The impact driver is sweet and replaces most of the work I did with the larger drill before. Everything seems to work great and I love that I can saw, drill, drive all without having to drag extension cords around. Really speeds up the work!

Being in the construction business for almost 40 years I have tried or owned almost every quality tool made. This six pack of 18 volt makita tools is a winner in every way, I could tell the instant I pulled the trigger on the cordless drill that I was holding onto a handful of quality. And the battery will sometimes last all day without a recharge.(depending on use) I highly recomend this wonderful bag of makita tools.

I was looking to replace my older DeWalt 14.4v drill, because the batteries were shot. Since it would cost at least $150 to buy 2 new batteries, I decided it would be a good time to update to lithium ion. I have read a lot about them. The Makita drill has more torque than most similar drills on the market. It is also lighter than most very comfortable to use. I found it locally between $300 $330. This kit is a no-brainer! I am very happy with the drill. The circular saw works great, although the battery could last a little longer, but it cuts great is very light easy to use. The recip. saw is also a great tool. I haven't used the other tools much so far. I built a 12 x 16 shed from scratch, using only the Makita drill, circular saw, recip saw. No extension cords at all. If you are looking for tough, heavy duty cordless tools, I highly reccomend this kit. Drawbacks: 3 batteries would be better. I plan on buying an extra one.

Best purchace made, this kit has not once let me down, plenty of power, heavy duty, I use this kit almost everyday and have not found any flaws love the makita brand. this kit put dewalt to shame! very powerful, light, and well designed all tools have different inovative features you will not find anywhere else. Had to fight with the wife to spend the money, but now she see's how much I use it, and it's not a problem. Also still have the first 18v makita drill I bought twelve years ago, just recently replaced batteries and it still runs like new. Great brand!

I bought this for my husband for Father's Day this year. I have been checking it out since before Christmas and he has been hinting he would like to have a better cordless tool kit. Well, so far he has tried every tool and is extremely satisfied with their performance. He has a couple of other cheaper sets that in no way can compare to the battery life and power of this set. I am not at all sorry about purchasing this kit and will happily add to it for him. Hope this helps your decision to purchase.

I have to say that I've used every tool in the kit except the impact driver over the past couple months and I am extremely happy with all the tools. All of the tools are very ergonomic (fit and feel right in your hand), are well powered, and feel rugged. And those built in lights come in handy more often than you think they would. The Makita engineers really nailed the design of these next generation cordless power tools.

br /The Lithium-Ion hype might be just that--it didnt seem like the lithium ion batteries lasted any longer than the better nickel cadnium ones from Dewalt--but then again I may have been enjoying using my Makita tools so much that I didnt realize how much time was actually going by. But in any event, the battery charger kept up with recharging the spare battery while one battery was hard at work between multiple tools, so there was never any downtime waiting for a battery.
br /
br /I definitely give the Makita LXT600 cordless set 5 out of 5 stars, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I purchased this kit from Amazon. I had completed a pretty extensive review of Lithium-Ion cordless tools before purchasing. The reason for selecting this kit was perceived lightness of tools, expected battery life, and good selection of tools. Almost immediately, I had a commercial cabinet contract in which I ended up using all tools. Impressions:
br /Drill- It is well balanced. One hand chuck works very well. The 3 speeds and ability to toggle between drilling mode and torque mode is very useful. Haven't used the hammer drill mode. It has enough power to drill holes with a 2" plus hole saw successfully. The light, although useful doesn't illuminate the end of a driver tip if held overhead.
br /Impact driver-I was concerned with the fact that it only has one speed and torque setting. In practice I didn't find these to be a problem. It is very light while at the same time powerful. It doesn't give the same sensitivity as a drill when driving screws. Although it is capable of overdriving almost any screw you can get proper tightening by simple running a screw in until it starts to ratchet. One very short touch of the trigger and you are usually fine. The only time I had to use the drill in its place for driving screws was with some Euro screws to set hinges.
br /Circular Saw. I was very impressed with this tool. The blade is very good that ships with it. It is light, powerful, very easy to set the blade depth accurately, and easy to maintain a straight line. Having grown us with gear drive saws, I am used to the blade being on the left so this saw having a blade on that side suits me well. The safety on it is functional but not intrusive.
br /Reciprocating saw- Used it to demo out a 2"+ depth counter. It had enough power to do it successfully. The blade changing system is very easy to use.
br /Light-Nothing special but works well. Probably would have been better with an LED light bulb.
br /Grinder- Only used once to cut off some screws but did the job quickly and easily.
br /Battery charger-Gives a good indication of what is going on with the battery. Seems to charge depleted batteries within about a half hour.
br /Battery life. There are two batteries supplied with the kit. Although this is an adequate number it does require careful battery management to keep from hitting a condition when both batteries are drained. I also found that we were swapping out batteries between tools because all tools are so useful. I'll be buying more batteries so that I don't have to keep such a close eye over them. The circular saw and rec. saw will drain the batteries fairly quickly with heavy use.
br /The storage bag. I found this to be a very good way to store tools. I took the bag with tools in it as checked in baggage for a cross country flight. When I took the bag off of the carousel I found that one of the wheels didn't turn. Upon inspection found both wheel housings broken. The telescoping handle is also pretty light duty.
br /I am very happy with the tool set and would definitely recommend it.
