So, I've been using my Hitachi impact driver for doing things I shouldn't do with it, like installing cabinet hardware, installing electrical boxes and cover plates and other "finer" jobs. I was worried that I was going to strip something out and let's face it, when Bosch comes out with a new tool us tool users start to look for a tool buying opportunity!
br /
br /Well, the unit works OK. I was particularly interested in the clutch and I do have to slow down towards the end because it will over torque. Also, I was used to the high speed of the impact driver and this unit has a much slower top end.
br /
br /Pros: Bosch quality, light, good battery life, the light actually is useful.
br /
br /Cons: 1 speed range, clutch over torques at higher speeds.
br /
br /All in all I'll probably go back to my impact driver and use care. I will use the PS20 in small spaces. I gave this 4 stars because I think much of my disappointment was expecting something more than a screwdriver.

Aside from maybe drilling a 1/2" hole through concrete there isn't much this little drill can't do.
br /
br /I use mine everyday. From setting cabinets to screwing down decking to installing electrical fixtures. I even use it just for the LED!
br /
br /Lots of power in a small package.
br /
br /The only thing I could possibly ask for is a higher speed setting for drilling pilot holes. It goes quick enough as is, but tends to cause a little bit of blowout on the backside when drilling through flakeboard.
br /
br /Other than that, it's one of the best tools I have ever purchased.

Unlike NiCad powered tools, this one doesn't loose it's charge while sitting on the shelf. Self-discharge was a constant source of frustration with my NiCad based old powered screwdriver. Sometimes I use a tool like this every day, other times it might sit for a month. With a NiCad tool sitting for a month means a dead battery, but not with this jewel.

br /Bosch really thought this tool through. The size and balance feel perfect in my hand. The built-in white-LED light is a feature I now wouldn't want to be without. We have been doing a bit of remodeling and redecorating for which this compact screw driver is just the ticket. The only change I would ask for is some kind of on-tool storage for at least one extra bit.

So it's small. it's shaped like a pistol really, but efficient design for a hand held gizmo iconic. there is incredible torque, easy use, an incredible charge per each tiny battery. there is no reason I can see to buy those large awkward drills. The only crit is that you need to buy a chuck to use non-keyed drill bits. but otherwise if you are driving screws this is the bomb. bought the fac. recond. and it's been great so far.
For the money, and the quality, you can't beat it.

It helps me around the house, just the way I planned it.
br /It's TINY, lightweight, and a torque monster for its size.
br /
br /I have been able to drive deck screws (2x4 into a 2x4, using a 3" deck screw), and it worked. But it struggled. However, I didnt buy this to DO THAT. This is for household stuff.
br /
br /I also use it to rebuild cars, so with the clutch set to 9 or 10, I can reassemble parts easily with a socket bit chucked in the driver, and get them quite tight. Usually tight enough for final assembly.
br /
br /Good stuff. Very happy.
br /
br /PS, they brand "Recon" into the handle, so you know it's reconditioned.

I have been using the PS20-2 for about a year. I bought it, from Amazon, based on the user reviews. I was not disappointed; the tool is everything it was said to be and continues to impress me with it's no-nonsense performance. My need was for a small, lightweight yet reasonably powerful electric screwdriver that was easy to hold and didn't weigh a ton--I have a carpal/nerve problem in my wrist--and would work more than two weeks after purchase. The PS20-2 fit my need perfectly and I highly recommend it, particularly to people in the electronics business who regularly need to remove/re-install a dozen or more cover screws. I would have given 5 stars but for (1) it lacks a clip for holding a second bit, and (2) it's a bit anemic when driving large screws. But, ya can't have everything.
Great driver

I've had this for about a month.
br / Good design, should last a long time. I service copiers so the 10.8v is a little high for my needs a little heavy, but the design is better then the hinging drivers. There are 3.6v pistol grip drivers, but they have built-in batteries, I need to be able swap out a dead battery. And I like the long life of the lith-ions
br / I had a Hitachi 3.6v driver. It was the perfect weight voltage, but the wires that run from the battery to the motor/switch kept breaking @ the hinge point.
br /I like that the light turns on with the squeeze of the trigger, and that the speed varies with how far you squeeze the trigger. The Hitachi just had a high low speed a separate switch for the light.
