What a great combination. I began using both Dremel units the day I received them. I've had a corded Dremel rotary tool for about 35 years. Although I always liked it, I never liked getting it out of the case or putting it away because of the (stiff) cord. The cord also got in the way when using the tool. The new cordless stylus is light, convenient, and comfortable to use. During the month I've had it, I've used it in a closet and in my back yard. With my old Dremel, I would have needed an extension cord, which might have dissuaded me from using it.

br /The Dremel cordless screwdriver has become my tool of choice--replacing my drill and almost replacing my screwdrivers. I find myself using it very often. I had long wanted a cordless power screwdriver to use together with my cordless drill--rather than continually switching the bits in my drill. The Dremel screwdriver is small enough to access places where I could not have used my drill. The screwdriver comes with the necessary screwdriver tips, and they're very easy to change. The screwdriver is also small enough that I can carry it in my work apron while I work. Although I have yet to use it for heavy-duty work, I have assembled a closet organizer, a cabinet, and installed/removed electrical switch plates. I've also put some 2" screws into drilled wood; it did the job.
br /
br /Each Dremel unit has it's own battery, and the combination holder conveniently stores one unit while charging the other. I've yet to have a unit's battery run out while using the units.
br /
br /I've been recommending this Dremel combination to my friends.
Another fine Dremel product!

This is a great kit. The tools are compact, well balanced in the hand and extremely useful. The grips are very comfortable and allow detailed work to be done for longer periods than non pistol grip models.
br /
br /I purchased this kit for my IT lab and so far it is getting passed around like (insert high school style crude joke here).
br /I work in an engineering company and the product development guys are always modifying and tinkering and they have all tried and loved the set.
br /
br /The kit comes with a nice starter set of screwdriver bits as well as some nice rotary bits like sanders and and an engraving bit which sells locally for about 8-10$ all by itself.
br /I would also suggest buying the 697-06 150 piece kit accesory kit [ Dremel 697-06 150 Piece Rotary Tool Super Accessory Assortment ]with it to round off you collection of rotary bits.
br /
br /As this will be used by multple people, the only slight negative is that you can only charge 1 tool at a time. The other bay on the charging stand is simply a holder. Great set and I'm sure we will be buying more very soon.

Easy to use, love the lithium-ion battery. Feels good in the hand and has great torque for its size. The variable speed on the driver is also a plus. Haven't done many things with the stylus but I look forward to using it.
Great power and battery life

Both tools exceeded my expectations. the rotory tools battery was my main worry, but it lasts for hours on a charge. i thought of the screwdriver as an extra that i really could have done without, but i find myself using it more and more. awsome product.
The Best Dremel ever Made!

This Dremel pair is the best I've ever used. I used the screwdriver last weekend to build shelves for my home video system. The screwdriver completely amazed me. I used a Torx #25 bit and 2-1/2" screws and it drove them through hardwood and the unit just dug in and kept going. I was so surprised that a unit that fits in the palm of my hand could do that. It was amazing. The battery help up all day too.
br /
br /The Dremel tool in the kit is a much better design than their old fashioned "straight" design. I assume the battery is the same so expect an all day helper thre too.
br /
br /I wish I could give it a 6 or more star rating.

I am into model airplane building and flying and this tool is really handy for getting into tight places along with it's variety of tools available.I use the sanding drums and the cut off wheels the most,I suggest getting the adjustable chuck so you can use drill bits,it is really nice having a small drill motor in your hand instead of a overkill 24V Makita for small intricate work. The driver is really nice for removing and replacing screws fast !!! I also got the 150 pc combo bit set that gives me unlimited flexibility when building models !!!!
br /This tool cuts my building time in half, with profesional results !!!
Meets expectations

I have used the product on occasion over the past couple of months. Over all, I am pleased with the units. The screwdriver is a nice size and weight; I use it more often than I did my drill/driver. I do wish it had a clutch to make it easier to prevent damage to items, like plastic switch covers.
br /As for the dremal tool, it comes with the basics, but I had to supplement bit choises within the first few projects. I haven't charged either unit yet. I will use both until the battery slows or dies. Overall, good valve for what I paid, not for the retail cost.
Just right for the hobbyist

I like tinkering and modifying, but for some reason I just never owned a Dremel. It's probably a cost thing, but I was able to get it for a really good price and finally caved and got this set. True it's not the standard Dremel and not as powerful, but then I don't need this for wood working. Most of the stuff I need it for is small stuff and the small and cordless nature of this tool makes it perfect. When I'm done I just place it in its charger and it's ready to go next time. I must say for such a small device it can get very, very fast... which is really where it's power lies as it's a low torque machine. You have to let the speed do the work and not push down to make it "work better."
br /
br /The included driver is also a nice addition. While I do have a drill/driver with adjustable torque, this little thing is just handy when I want to work quick or get into smaller spaces. All in all it's a good set, but I probably wouldn't have gotten it if I had to pay $100 or more.
br /
br /As others have mentioned though, getting the Dremel 697-06 Accessory Kit Dremel 697-06 150-Piece Rotary Tool Super-Accessory Assortment is a nice addition to this.
Underpowered and overpriced.

The reviewer who said this unit has "great power for its size" may have hit the nail on the head, if one keeps in mind that this is a very small unit.
br /
br /I've found the dremel and drill to be wholly inadequate to tasks beyond the most superficial. While the dremel was fine for removing some (very) thing insulation from wires, it failed to grind down a soft piece of plastic (even using the roughest grit in Dremel's 150-piece accessory kit) with any sort of adequate speed or efficacy. When trying to take the edge off some HDPE, the thing stalled out.
br /
br /The drill is a joke. The magnetized tip (oh, it has a magnetized tip) means I cannot use it for electronics work. Its remarkably low torque led to its being unable to so much as make a single rotation of a screw into drywall *with a pre-drilled guide hole*. Moreover, it doesn't have a choke: its drill bit has a defined shape, meaning you can only use the bits that came with the device, or similar ones, which makes useless my hundred other drill bits that I've used for years with my other (significantly better) drills.
br /
br /The dremel doesn't rotate well. The drill doesn't drill. This is the sorriest $100 I ever spent on tools, and despite Dremel's renowned name for rotary tools, my next rotary tool purchase will not be a Dremel. This is drek, being sold on the power of an old reputation.
